Sorry for the suspense over the last two months- we've been busy, busy,
busy. This Old House has a "wrap party" at the end of the
project, and so we decided to invite the neighborhood to an open house to
celebrate the end of phase I and thank them for their patience during two
years of construction.
We has about 80 people stop by that day.
|
 |
| The next day, they threw a surprise birthday party for me,
and another 30 people showed up. It was weird going from not having
any guests for two years to having over 100 people show up in two
days. We still have a bunch of baby carrots left in the
refrigerator. |
 |
| O.K., I know you're wanting to see the finished photos, so
here they are.
The kitchen is sure different from the one in the RV. |
 |
| There's a heater in the toe kick of the vanity that warms
your piggies when you get out of the tub. |
 |
| The two wooden posts will get oak tapered columns wrapping
them, with a bookcase extending from them to the wall as a collonade. |
 |
| Someday I'll replace the clear glass doors with stained
glass, but that can wait for now. |
 |
| The stacked washer/dryer leaves room for a countertop to
fold clothes on.
The photo on the right is the 1/2 bath. |
 |
| The bed's a lot different than the one in the RV also. |
 |
| The fireplace will get a full-height mantle with a bookcase
on each side. |
 |
| We want to thank all those who helped us, slaving away in
the heat and the dust. God has been gracious to us.
Coming Soon: Granny Flat! |
 |
| Christmas Day 2005- The granny flat is
done. Thank God. |
