We Don't Have Room for an Apple Tree!

That's because you're still probably thinking of the way orchards were planted 50 years ago- 30' tall trees spaced 25' apart.  Get with it!  Modern apple orchards more resemble vineyards, with tiny trees spaced close together trained on a trellis.

If you have room for a rosebush, you have room for an apple tree.  They can be grown flat against a fence (or used for a fence), grown straight up like a pole, grown in a pot on a patio, or planted in clumps 3' apart from each other.

Apples are extremely adaptable to pruning and training  and can be easily shaped to many forms.  We'll show you how to summer prune to keep the tree any size you want, no matter what rootstock it's grown on.
